Controversial filmmaker, bestselling author and former judge, Kenneth Del Vecchio’s star-packed movies are creating a media buzz. Anti-abortion thriller, THE LIFE ZONE, gay marriage courtroom drama, AFFIRMATIVE ACT and screwball comedy jewelry heist, THE GRAND THEFT were released by NBC/Universal on VOD today, December 4, 2012.
DVD will be available everywhere on December 11, 2012 through Screen Media Films. If you have a TV set and you have cable TV or satellite, you can now watch Kenneth Del Vecchio’s following movies On Demand (pay-per-view). They are already airing as follows:
THE LIFE ZONE (Time Warner, Verizon Fios, Cox): Star-filled pro-life thriller movie that caused massive media uproar. “A psychological thriller bringing an emphatically anti-abortion slant to the hot-button issue” according to The Los Angeles Times. “Just like all great horror films, Del Vecchio’s movie has a shocking twist.” – The Colbert Report. THE GRAND THEFT (Time Warner, Cox): Destitute, but desperate to produce their blockbuster bank robbery movie, producer/attorney Mario Vigilante and his talent-deprived players decide to pull a jewelry heist to finance the film. The film stars Blanche Baker (Emmy winner; Sixteen Candles), Thomas G. Waites (All My Children, The Thing, And Justice For All), Joe Rosario (Together, Raising Victor Vargos, The Lair) and Robbert Loggia (Academy Award nominee; Scarface, Big).
Some films have “start air dates” earlier than others, depending on the cable system (but all of the above are currently already airing as listed). They’re also airing on Comcast, Infinity, Dish Network and they’re all available on Netflix (different “start” dates) and iTunes.
DVD releases, by Screen Media Films for all of the above films are next week (December 11).
What has been particularly exciting about these releases is the following: NBC/Universal’s most recent slate of On Demand (pay-per-view) movies has 6 movies in it (http://www.universalvod.net/movies/index.php)– 3 of those movies are Kenneth Del Vecchio movies.
